Supplier LOCT Releases 2024 Report on Climate Action

Driving cross-industry collaboration to curb emissions and transform global supply chains

April 1, 2025 — The Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (Supplier LOCT) has released its 2024 Impact Report, highlighting the collective progress made by supplier companies collaborating to reduce carbon emissions across global supply chains.

The Supplier LOCT 2024 Impact Report details their expanding reach, welcoming eight new partners in 2024 and bringing the total to 29 leading companies from diverse industries. According to the report, over 6,500 individual suppliers have participated in LOCT, and the program has educated 1,450 supplier companies across 79 countries.

Other highlights over the past year include:

  • 94% of supplier companies say the program helps them make climate progress

  • The Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency course was launched educating suppliers on reducing emissions through energy optimization and transition to renewables

  • Supplier LOCT and NovoEd won 13 awards from the Brandon Hall Group, and LOCT was awarded the 2024 Innovative Partnership Award from the Climate Registry

“Supplier LOCT is a global model for collaborative climate action. By equipping suppliers with the knowledge and tools to measure and reduce their emissions, we are helping businesses take meaningful steps toward decarbonization,” said Nicole DelSasso, Executive Director of Supplier LOCT. “The program’s strength lies in its ability to evolve with input from partners, suppliers, industry experts, and NGOs—ensuring diverse perspectives drive innovation and maximize impact.”

Supplier LOCT partners invite their suppliers to participate in live, online climate courses led by expert instructors at Guidehouse, a global firm that provides advisory, technology, and managed services to the commercial and public sectors. The coursework guides suppliers as they develop a GHG program, including a footprint. Suppliers use the knowledge gained and tools acquired to set a science-based target, develop an abatement plan, and learn how to disclose to CDP and other stakeholders.

Partners join LOCT to engage suppliers, strengthen their brand, and drive emissions reductions to achieve critical sustainability goals. Beyond these benefits, partners become leaders in shaping the LOCT program itself and provide an invaluable network of collaboration that paves the road for mutual success.

“LOCT offers a unique and powerful option that provides the right support at the right maturity level for any supplier to accelerate their climate efforts,” said Nick Martin, Vice President of Corporate Sustainability at Post Holdings. “LOCT allows our organization to state the importance of what we are asking of suppliers, while also demonstrating we are committed to treating them as partners in the journey.”
